Jacky Sheridan Illustration
Jacky Sheridan provides freelance illustration services, mural design, creative workshop facilitation and public speaking.
“My illustration work is based on my Irish humour and a high contrast illustrative style which helps me to create expressive, fun, bold and engaging pieces. I used to be a graphic designer in a past life, so I still have a weird love of typesetting…!”
Jacky’s work can be seen in many places North and South and recently she created a series of illustrations for the ExtraORDINARY Women project with The Linen Hall Library.
“I first moved here around ten years ago now, and I mainly moved up here as I wanted to live somewhere with a community feel close to the city but cheaper than Dublin…
What I love about Ormeau is: Bread and Banjo bakery and the smells wafting out of it, walking past, picking wild garlic in Ormeau Park, hearing the traditional music session the odd week in the Deramore Avenue alleyway and supping a good pint of Guinness in the quiet of the Oak Room.”
What would make Ormeau even better would be: “More spaces for the arts, more DIY venues opened (I miss the Menagerie) and for someone to open a Korean fried chicken gaff!”
